Where is Kurdish spoken?

Kurdish is mainly spoken in the Kurdistan Region, which covers parts of Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria. The exact areas vary depending on the dialect, as there are several Kurdish dialects, including Sorani, Kurmanci and Zaza. It is estimated that more than 30 million people worldwide speak Kurdish.
