LingaTel’s telephone interpreting is based on an in-house developed telephony switching system that establishes the connection between the user and the requested interpreter.
A landline number provided by LingaTel is used to call the LingaTel platform for spontaneous interpreting requests. Each language combination has a two-digit extension.
Telephone interpreting appointments are booked via the LingaTel platform. An interpreter for the requested language is then available at the agreed time.
To ensure maximum security and availability, the telephony switching system is protected by a firewall and has multiple redundancies.
The telephony system is operated on a physical server infrastructure, which is operated directly in the LingaTel carrier’s certified data center.

No special technical requirements are needed to use the telephone interpreting service, as access is gained by dialing a telephone number provided by us and the corresponding extension for the desired language. All you need is a telephone. As our telephone interpreting service can also be used via cell phone, you remain flexible and are not tied to a specific location.
